Ski tours

In January and March, we offer a ski touring week/weekend for beginners and advanced skiers.

Our guides show you the basics (avalanche transceiver search, weather and avalanche report, terrain selection…) and climb the most beautiful mountains in the Ötztal valley with you. A few powder or firn runs are also included.

Equipment

We will provide safety equipment (rucksack, avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel).

BASIC

Are you confident on the slopes and even have a bit of experience off-piste? You want to get away from the crowds and enjoy the mountains on a ski tour? Or do you already have experience on touring skis, but don’t yet feel 100% confident in your ascent technique?

Then our Basic Ski Touring Week is the right choice for you!

We spend 3 or 5 days in open terrain and focus on an efficient and energy-saving ascent technique, the correct tracking and safe handling in alpine areas. We also practise the correct use of emergency equipment (avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel) and what to do in an emergency.

ADVANCED

You already did some skitouring in the past? You want to get better skills in the uphill (kickturn,...) or downhill? And you want to enjoy the beautiful mountains in the Ötztal valley?

Then you are definitely right at our skitouring advanced courses.

Together with a ski- or mountain guide you will be 3 or 5 days off-piste. You will focus on the right uphill technic, searching for the right track and learn about the dangers in off-piste areas. We also learn the correct way to use the emergency equipment (beacon, showel, probe).
